A betfair bot is born

In the Eric’s last article “How to program bot step by step” I really like his enthusiasm:

I am neither a software developer nor just an enthusiastic programmer, but I am extremely interested in the development and implementation of bots which could possibly enable me to gain an edge in my betting activities.

Being an aged and lifelong bettor on horse racing in the UK I have not the neccessary skills or the know how to enable me to design and code my own bots, but am willing to learn just how to do that.

So I have written this article to all who want to follow our effort in writing a simple bot with bfexplorer pro infrastructure. Eric is now working on his bot specification. I will publish my thoughts to his specification after he is done.

Eric’s specification is already known. You can read it in the article: My bot specification and also my thoughts on his project. So now there is a time for coding.

The EricLookUpBot is ready, you can see that writing a bot is not so complicated, mainly when you use the bfexplorer pro infrastructure. What you will implement is just base algorithm of your bot, the market monitoring, bet operations, money management system and bot execution service that all is prepared for you to use. You can read more about it in the article: Eric’s LookUpBot bot implementation.

This bot tutorial will follow with an EricBot implementation, as the bfexplorer pro implements two different approaches in running the bot scripts:

So you will learn how to write your bots for the Bot Executor as well.

The same bot project specification but now a different approach in implementing the betfair bot. In the previous article I explained how to implement the LookUpBot now I continue with the bot you can run with the Bot Executor.

Have a look at on the betfair bot source code and compare those two approaches.
